Laine was completing her Advance Practice Experience Rotations for her PharmD degree while living with family in Port Orchard, WA, and Drew came to visit over a long weekend. For entertainment, they scheduled a one day tour taking them through various wine-making facilities and tasting rooms in Woodinville, WA. From there, they were hooked.

Once they were married, free time revolved around traveling and drinking wine. Both worked to obtain certification with the Society of Wine Educators and the Guild of Master Sommeliers. Travel for the couple focused on visiting and learning from some of the most renowned wine growing regions in the world, including famous wine regions across France, Italy, and Germany. Closer to home, they spent long weekends visiting Napa Valley, Paso Robles, Finger Lakes, and eventually made it all the way to Walla Walla, WA. These experiences, along with Drew’s newly found passion for all things wine, fueled the dream to open a winery in Walla Walla Valley.
