Fruit Sourcing - Rockgarden Mourvedre

Mourvedre has always been one of my favorite grapes.  Nice dark color, lovely black pepper nose,  and soft silky tannins to round out the palate.  When I found a ton of Mourvedre down in The Rocks, I knew I had to have it.  Great Mourvedre profile with a touch of earthiness from The Rocks. 

Rockgarden vineyard is unique in that its row are not exactly north-south orientation.  They are at a slight angle to capture more afternoon heat, which allows Mourvedre to ripen perfectly at this site.
